Tip of the Day

Once you have made the decision to lay up, don't second-guess yourself. Plan how you are going to play the shot after the lay-up. Get accurate distances to the trouble and the lay-up zone, then select the club that provides the most room for error, factoring in carry and roll. Choose a specific target, not a general area, and form a precise picture of the shot you want to hit. Don't get lazy. Go through your entire preshot routine and hit it with authority.

Excellent advice, many times you see people that are actually too agressive in their attempt at laying up the ball and wind up hitting it into the hazard. Always play a minumum of 10 15 yards short.
